Whatcha Making for Supper?

Duck is the perfect gateway into dark meat. Even the white meat is dark. If you ever see it out at a restaurant, give it a try! I almost want to say I like it more than prime rib. Almost.

The struggle to not eat all the dark meat off the bone while stripping it... I'm actually salivating at the thought like an animal. :drool


For sure. I've always preferred the dark meat. That and the wings.
Even before wings became a thing, at family BBQ's when their might be 3-4 birds on the rotisserie, I got all the wings.

I buy an 8pc fried chicken at the town store. It's close to KFC if the cook does his job.
I'll eat the wings, legs, and one thigh for lunch. Then turn the rest into some kind of chicken dish or sandwich. And that is where I get a few more meals out of it if I make some kind of pasta dish with it.

Last night was leftover minced beef and mashed potatoes with onion gravy and peas.

For tonight I'll probably eat the leftover half rack of ribs with the leftover macaroni salad and maybe cook some Bush's beans.

If the new pup lets me 😳
But she's been doing much better than her first day with me, so fingers crossed.
