Whatcha Making for Supper?

BLT for dinner tonight. Slicing a tomato is about all I want to do after a day of canning them. 😁
The funny thing about the tomatoes for the BLTs is I was so involved in making sauce for canning today that I forgot to hold out a good tomato for our sandwiches. lol So I had to dig through the not quite ripe box to find a couple we could use. :rolleyes:
 
Had to go to the woods for my super. After being teased by a flock of 7 tom turkeys who always stayed just out of bow range ever since the start of deer season I said enough is enough and took the shotgun along this morning. That’s one tag filled, now for the deer…

Skinned and parted him out, then put the odds and ends in the crockpot to deboned. Ate as I picked the bones and will be saving the rest for a meaty soup.

Some photos, the view from the previous night’s hunt was too good to leave out. The flock walked right by me to the left and cut across the field all the way over to the upper right corner to roost for the night. That is where I was waiting for them this morning, at the red X.

Now that's a meat sauce.
What an incredible concentration of flavor.
