Husband made a beef stew yesterday and I made the equivalent of vegetarian chicken pot pie filling. We will eat this for a few days with our salads.

That's kind of like poutine, isn't it?I made gravy with onions, garlic and some shredded beef from last night's roast, put it over some seasoned fries and topped with pepper jack.

No meat of any kind for me either since the 80's. So I get you. This is going to get some head shaking…… vegan turkey, roasted fresh asparagus (with rosemary oil and lemon zest) and gnocchi with mushroom sauce (Haven’t eaten meat, poultry or seafood in almost 4 decades)

I just can't see polyester and poutine together in the same room. LOL. And yeah, Alice Cooper, Zeppelin, Hendrix for me too.To you and I and a host of others, yes.
But to someone from Canada, it would be sacrilegious to call a dish without cheese curds poutine
And since I ain't from Jersey, and was listening to Alice Cooper when others were listening to the Bee Gees, I refuse to call it disco fries
But in my picture file I called it poutine![]()
Looked up poutine. Sounds interesting. Wonder if we can get cheddar curds here.To you and I and a host of others, yes.
