Our male Khaki Campball was killed last week by a hawk. We miss him dearly as he was so gentle and nice. Our female WH was very attached to him and was very lonely. We replaced him with a Welsh Harlequin drake. The female Welsh Harlequin LOVES him (they have mated five times today that I have seen.) Just wanted to share the new addition. Hopefully this spring we will have little ducklets waddling around.
I have tried and my thread gets lost. I have done some reading on them and they are supposed to turn black as they age, so I guess that is what is going on. She walks fine and is healthy so that was my guess.
