what's a forum poll?

can anyone tell me what a forum poll is?

It is for people who have GFM or Platinum memberships.

Say you wanted to know if BYC likes the color red or the color blue more. So you make your new forum topic click the poll button under options and you put in red and blue. Then when someone clicks on the topic they can pick red or blue then submit. Or if they don't want to vote and just want to see who has voted they will click null vote.

Except you won't see who voted how unless they also left a comment in the thread. I have voted anonymously, i.e., voted but not posted in that thread.
