It will start working within a day or so. I'm not sure about repeating it as I've only used it behinde wazine. But you said that you had already wormed them so your pretty much doing the same thing as I do and using the ivermectin behind the wazine. I do a two week withdrawl for eggs and have seen people say anything from 2 days to 4 weeks.

How long must you withhold eggs from eating if you use the ivermectin, do you know?

I do two weeks for our use and four if I'm selling them. I think two weeks is enough, and haven't had any problems, but want to be extra careful of anything I sell.

My hens aren't laying much, so not a problem. I just want to save my flock here.

Did this start shortly after bringing them home from the fair?
Do you have any more showing any signs?
How long is it between showing the first signs and the time of death?
Any gurgling when they breathe at night?
Does it look like they are gasping for breath?

If you have wormed them and they are not showing signs of parasites or any other signs such as swollen eyes or nasal discharge
I would be tempted to get them onto a broad spectrum antibiotic. If they were mine, I would run them on a treatment of Corid or Sulmet for Cocci. Yes I know they are older but older birds can get it and can die from it. We have had it happen. I would also be inclined to try them on Duramycin or Fish Mox (Amoxicillin).

Okay guys, here's an update.
I wormed them last week with the ivermectin, and they're 100% better. Sephy was moping around with a pale comb- now he's crowing and has bright red wattles and comb again! I also cleaned their pens and put down some dE. Thank you so much everyone for your help!! I love y'all.

Just remember, here in Flori-DUH, we are in our Spring/Summer transistion weather, EVERYTHING is gonna happen to our chickens before those Northern chickens. I'm working on my first infestation of chicken lice.... what a pain.
