Are you asking about the purplish discoloration at the end and tips of the comb? Darkening of the comb is often a sign of heart problems or difficulty breathing, or because of frostbite. (however, at least judging by the photo, it doesn't look that cold outside, so I doubt that rooster is frostbitten.) With some birds, the discoloration disappears and reappears at random times, for no understandable reason.

His comb looks fine to me. The purplish tips/blade are probably caused by poor circulation/hot weather.

It is on the colder side here but not cold enough to get frost bite. Yesterday his comb was bright red throughout. He is drinking and he aye the yogurt I put out for my chickens.

Is there a way to tell if it is something more serious? Or things I should be keeping an eye out for?

His comb is fine,my rooster's combs will darken on the tips when they are excited, nervous, etc.nothing serious. Similar to blood pressure in humans, when you are nervous, mad, etc. If his comb was to stay dark(purple/bluish tinge)then it may indicate circulatory issues, specifically heart related.
For frostbite concerns, smear some vaseline on comb, this will prevent frostbite.
