Hi all!
I have a beautiful black austrolorp that is 24 weeks old. All of the other hens I got at the same time(6) have been laying consistently for 3 weeks now. However my sweet aussie Miss Bennnet is not. What confuses me is that she has layed a few times, 3 times. But nothing usually. Is this normal? If she hadn't layed at all I tink it would make more sense to me. Any insights?

....Or she may be cooling down. Especially if you do not have a light in the coop. As the days shorten, chickens lay less and less. My 5 new girls hatched 5/10 each layed for awhile in fall, but all but one has stopped for winter (I do not have a light in coop). You might not see a lot of eggs until late winter - early spring, when things really pick up.
