Whats happening!

Ok, well over the past week some strange things have been happening. Well at the start of the week i found a nest with 7 eggs in it. It has gradualy grown to the size of 19 eggs. The duck in question has been less active and when i go to her she quacks loudly and fluffs up. I have put the other ducks in a seperate hut and this morning she was sitting on them and then she came out and didnt go back in. Any suggestion on what this is and what i can do?

I'm not an expert, but your duck has gone broody, I would say. She shows all the symptoms of wanting to hatch her eggs. If you're good with that, she'll sit on the nest until they hatch. If you don't want ducklings, your can remove the eggs and then try to convince her that she is not sitting on them anymore...Maybe take her away and cage off the nest area in question.

Congratulations !!!!!!!!! In 28 days you should expect ducklings if you have a drake and two ducks !!!!

Seperating the other ducks at this stage is the best thing- Leave her to sit and hatch those babies in peace.

I really do want her to sit on them, and each day she is more, is there anything i can do to promote this?

Thanks, when she goes out to feed she does not go back in though, she has been sleeping most of the day today outside, she has been moalting, but she has been staying in the nest longer and longer each day and is still add eggs, straw and feathers to it.

That's... a lot of eggs.

I'd pull some of those out and put them into the incubator...sounds like too many eggs for one duck.
