I was getting ready to make some scrambled eggs when I came across these oval looking things near my egg yolk. My first thought was worms, but they dont move. I do have a sick hen thats been battling diarrhea on and off. I wonder if this was her egg.

It may be blood specks. Sometimes, we get some in our eggs. It's natural and normal to get some spots of blood and you can safely use eggs like this. Blood spots can be bright red or deep, dull brown.

If in doubt, don't use them, but if it's blood, ehh. They'll taste like regular eggs.

Just looks like a blood or meat spot.

They're way more common that folks realize. Commercial eggs are candled and they can see these things through the shell, so they're pulled and not sold on the shelf. When you have you own hens, you get them just however the hen lays them, spots and all......they're harmless. maybe a bit unappetizing, but no problem for you, or from the hen. Just a normal glitch. You can either scramble it up, or pick the spots out and eat the rest.
