While candling one of my chicken eggs, I noticed one of my developing chicks was growing on one side of the egg like normal while on the opposite side there were 2 dime sized black blobs. Anyone know what it could be or if it will kill the chick? They were like black jelly, not just black spots on shell...thanks!

Any idea what would cause bacteria to grow in an egg where a live chick is developing?

Dirty eggs, porous eggs, a incubator that has bacteria growing in it can transfer it to the eggs.....I'm sure there are other things too.
