I'm just curious what is in every ones chicken mash. Mine is 650 lb of corn 9% protein 650 lb of oats 12% protein and 700 lb poultry base (don't know is in poultry base) 36% protein 25 lb calcium 40 lb of DE.
Final protein value 19.8%.

Poultry base is likely the vitamin/mineral/additive package. Different feed companies call it slightly different things, but without this package, mash would merely be ground grains and would not be a complete feed.

Mine is from a local Hubbard Mill.

So yours is prebagged you don't know by the lb what thy put in. Just curious.

No, I can have any "mix" they have available. They follow the recipes from Hubbard. These are found on Hubbard's Egg EN Chick website page. Presently, I am choosing the standard 17% protein, layer mix, based on corn.

I just noticed its made by Hubbard I get mine ground at the mill and put in 55 gallon drums for 8.25 a 50 lb. 330 a ton but is going up to 465 a ton 11.62 50 lb. how much is the hubbard a bag.

I can also buy it by the drum, my own feed hopper trailer or bagged in old fashioned feed bags and tied off with a string.

Last trip, it had hit $20 a hundred. I expect it to stabilize around $22 a hundred? But that would be just a guess, as no one can really guess commodity prices, I guess.

I called my mill and that is what they call poultry base and it is 38% not 36% my bad and it is made by hubbard. Pretty much the only difference in our feed is I split the corn in half and added that much in oats thats were I got the higher protein. Not the reason I did it but the oats were cheaper than the corn. Do you think that was ok.
