guess what!!!!!
I got two white cochins from roostercruiser!!! he sent me 6 eggs and 4 made it into lockdown 1 died after it came out and I accidently killed the other one

but they are SOOOOOO CUTE!

I have 10 that went on lock down 2 days ago and I have a pip today. And I hear peeping. There are lost more in there but they have different hatch dates. I'm hoping that this mornings spike didn't kill them. It got up to 104 but it was brief. It wasn't warm enough and DH decided to give the dial a little turn to bring up the temp a bit and then left. All while I was asleep. Thank goodness I got up about 45 minutes after he left and found it. It may have just reached that temp. I have some I just put in a few days ago and some to go in lock down in about a week and those on lock down now. There are 46 I think in there of mixed breeds.

I have 1 lonely chick, a sole survivor form the last hatch of 3. I have been hand feeding it and the all 9 yards to keep it alive. I'm hoping when these new ones hatch they will teach this one that it is suppose to eat on its own. All it does now is stand, sleep, chirp and when it is ready to eat it cries loud. Maybe it don't know its a chicken and self sufficient. It's to dependent.

66 coturnix eggs on day 6. finally got incubator dialed in and have a steady temp of 99.5 for five days straight.

loads of peeps are everywhere. still loads of eggs, Silkie, Turken, Sizzles, EE, Crested Ducks, Reg. Ducks, Jersey Giants are just a few that are left.

Showgirls, Silkies, EE, Sizzles, Turken, CD, RIR mix, Amer mix, are just a few of the types of little peeps out LOADS of fluffy butts.
