Whats in your incubators?

36 buff orphington ( bought from a pure flock ) , 12 RIR ( bought from a pure flock ), 11 mutts ( from my egg layers )

78 chicken eggs: pure buckeyes, buckeye X white chantecler, buckeye X Cx, white chantecler X Cx also 8 turkey eggs: beltsville small white X those big white thanksgiving turkey tanks. (BBW?) Not sure how many of these will be fertile. These are planned crosses.

Lets see I have a staggered hatch 13 eggs are set to hatch May 4th, and 21 more are set to hatch May 12th, for a total of 34 and my little homemade bator is full! On the 4th I will have Buff Silkies and Mille Fleur Cochins. Then set to hatch on the 12th if they all make it I will have 6 Wheaton Ameraucanas, 2 Olive Eggers, 2 more Mille Fleur Cochins, 6 more Buff Silkies, and 5 barn yard mix. All the silkies, cochins and barnyard mix are from either my own or my neighbor's chickens. The Ameraucanas and OE are shipped eggs, so I won't counting those before they hatch.

i have japanese bantams i think only the mottled are going to hatch... set 31.... hopes for some... only on day 5 not sure what i'll get.

I only have six. Five Golden Campine and one Frizzle/Campine mix. My Campine Roo has decided to try his luck with all the ladies.

Should be hatching any day. Afraid that this hatch may not do anything though.

I have 37 in my incubator right now...

1 White Crested Polish

10 Silkie

19 Barnyard Mutts (hens were red... RIR, Red sex link? - will be a surprise)

7 Game Bantams - a girl from work asked me to put these in there for her. She said they were General and Blue Shuffler mixes... I have never heard of these breeds before?

Staggered hatch starting lockdown on Monday the 25th!

Hey Cattitude - I have been thinking of incubating guineas next. Are they difficult to incubate? Are their eggs about the size of a chicken egg or a bantam egg? White, brown, speckled? I wish I could find someone local that sold guinea eggs.
