What's killing my ducks?

I've had two ducks killed in the last 3 days. One was my female Rouen and the other was my Pekin drake. The Rouen went missing sometime in the evening just before dark. I was never able to find her body or any feathers, but she wouldn't have run away without the others. I noticed the Pekin missing this morning and found a trail of feathers all over our pasture that lead to his head. I'm completely devastated. They were my babies. I bought a trap today and I plan on staying up late tonight to kill whatever is doing this. What would drag them like that and leave only the head?

Hard to say - fox, coyote, dog, mink, raccoon... It seems to me that you might want to look into securing your birds a little better at night.
