What do you want Santa to bring you or your chickens for Christmas?

    I would like to have...

    - my coop addition completed
    - an automatic pop door
    - one of those temp controlled outlets for water
    - new nest boxes
    - a live trap for preditor control
    - lots of pine shavings
    - a big bag of BOSS
    - some blue-egg laying hens
    - some really dark-egg laying hens

    ...shall I go on?

Another coop!!! My DH has agreed to build it for me. Now I just have to decide what I want him to build. How big is the issue. I want a storage area inside of the coop this time.

Quote:ME TOO!! I swear, it's on my Christmas list!! I was disappointed that it no longer seems to be available in the US. My husband doesn't know how to buy online, so my only hope is for a pretty wire basket for my kitchen counter to show off my eggs in.

Quote:Ask for a timer and a light -- everyone told me my girls would stop laying and the ones that hadn't started to lay wouldn't start until spring.

Boy, were they wrong!!! I'm getting new hens laying every week, even breeds that are not winter layers. I just have an energy efficient light come on at 4pm and stay on until 10pm. We're swimming in eggs!

Santa would have no problem getting a timer and light in his bag!
