What's on your Thanksgiving menu?

Ham, cabbage, pickled herring, pumpernickel bread, cheese, potatoes, pierogi, beer

Did I mention I'm a hyphenated-American?

My son and DIL are doing Thanksgiving this year for 30+. My DIL has family coming from Texas and Arizona and there are plenty of them local also. I thought I MIGHT get out of cooking anything, but no.

My son called last week to ask if I'd make a couple things if he paid for them. Sure, whatever. I knew he'd want my potato salad. He's making a stuffed roasted turkey and a deep fryed one. He can't cook pork in their kitchen (DIL is Jewish), so I'm baking a ham to go with the potato salad.

Looks like his menu is;

Roasted turkey and dressing
deep fried turkey
baked ham
chicken and noodles (this one surprised me but is apparently a tradion with DIL's Mother. She's bringing this)
potato salad
mashed potatoes
candied yams (one of DIL's sisters is bringing this)
green bean casserole (another of DIL's sister is bringing this)
brussels sprouts
corn
some kind of jello fruit thing (another of DIL's sisters)
rolls and butter
many pies (DIL's Dad and step-mom are bringing these from Texas)

Sure hope it's nice that day so they can use the patio or that's going to be one crowded house!
