Whats should I be Feeding

My Chickens are now 4 Months old and I have been Feeding them
DuMOR Poultry Grower/Finisher 15% . for past 2 months

Should i keep feeding them this or move so something else?

Half my Flock is White Leg Horns other is Red Sex

Those breeds normally begin laying at an early age but since it is after the summer solstice, it may be delayed.
I would follow the instructions on the back of the bag.

Personally, I'm not fond of grower b/c it's only 15% protein. If you are adding any treats, that further diminishes their protein level, and can lead to growth or behavior problems.

I'd suggest a flock raiser 18 to 20% protein with oyster shells on the side free choice. 15% protein is the absolute minimum, but as lazy suggested, most treats will take them below that minimum.

All my birds get Flock Raiser all their lives, with oyster shell on the side. It's not the cheapest feed out there but they look great and I'm not worried about 'marginally sort of' okay feed. Mary
