Whats the best drainage?

Hello, I just made alittle coop for a pair or trio. of seramas. I put the on the ground and the coop part on pavers to raise it above the dirt, But for some reason i fell like when it rains, the water is going to sit in the run like a puddle and then turn to mud. What is the best drainage to use?Thanks!

I would say sand. Or wood chips.

But sand/gravel is the best

Is there any way you can place the coop on higher ground than its surroundings, or maybe build up a gravel pad underneath it, if it's flat-flat-flat where you live? That way, at least, the rianwater will percolate down through the gravel, and the chooks can walk around on top of the gravel, and keep their feet dry/drier.
