My Husband and I recently sold our trio of Turkeys we got them as poults and raised them all summer.
We enjoyed them very much and wanted to order some poults next spring.

Whats the best Hatchery you have used for turkeys?

I checked the link and thats a wonderful hatchery but they are completely booked to April 2010 and are taking orders for Mid May.
We were hoping to get them earlier than that, But thanks for the link

I also agree with Porters Turkeys, I've emailed Kevin many times and he's always such a big help and he know how to breed his birds, hatcheries just breed what ever lays, I 've gotten Buff colored birds from my hatchery Bourbon Reds. I will be selling down my turkeys and wont' be getting anymore until I can get some from Kevin at Porters Turkeys.

I believe i need to order from Porter Turkeys too.

This afternoon me and my dh looked at all the breeds and pics and we agree with yall about them having the best breeds.
We never knew there were so many different colors

can you hear me now? :

All I can add is that cackle hatchery also has a good selection of turkeys. You may want to check out their site and see what they have. Hope this maybe helps as well.

I want to add that Cackle is where I got those buff colored " Bourbon Reds" from.

Hi, in addition to the eggs/children of chickens, guineas, ducks and geese, we've been so blessed with five flocks of wonderful turkeys. We will likely start having eggs again beginning February...

Our breeds are:

Bourbon Reds
Bronze
Royal Palms
Jersey Buff
Pencil Red

Once mating season begins they all go back to their separate large pens. They are not mating now and are in huge areas with the boys in one area and the girls in another.

I don't have pictures of all of them loaded up but here are a few pics below. Fertility was great for us this year. I love hatching out them. They will bond to you so quickly.

I haven't really promoted our turkeys on this section, although the turkeys are listed on the BYC official list but I'd be so honored to help you in your search.

I would recommend driving here to reduce the stress on the poults...Also if you like I'd be glad to ship you hatching eggs or you could pick them up.

Our poultry are raised with the best feed, grains, treats from our chemical free garden and much tender loving care.

Please pm me if you need more information and here are some photos.
