That's not even all of 'em. I have 3 of the Octagon20 Advance EX units, 2 of the MiniAdvance EX units, and 1 MiniAdvance. Plus a Reptipro5000 (not a Brinsea product).
NO complaints. Well, setting up the first Octagon20 Advance was confusing because the MiniAdvance I had at the time was SO simple. Other than that, no complaints. I bought them, one at a time, from the Brinsea web-site; only the very first one, the MiniAdvance, was not on sale at the time. So when I decided I wanted to get more, I was able to take advantage of the special sales pricing.
Head on over to http://www.brinsea.com and click on the web specials to see what I paid.
I do love the MiniAdvance units, both the Ex and the one without the humidity pump. Only holds 7 eggs, and I thought that would keep my incubatis habit in check. The only reason I "moved up" to the Octagon20s is because I could only find egg auctions for 10 or more eggs....

Hmmm it would keep my incubation habit in check... and I suppose if I ordered eggs I could put the extras in the hova, until day seven or so when I cull out duds/quitters.

Really very well. I would consider it a nearly fool-proof incubator, whilst the EX version is Stupid-proof. The units are small, heat recovers very quickly after opening the unit to add water when necessary. Humidity holds well, and if you get it too high, just lift the lid and let some escape, as the temp will recover so quickly. As long as you don't let it run dry, it's great. Although I forgot a few times and added water when I discovered it, and STILL had eggs hatch.
The advantage of the humidity pump is that you can simply set it, and practically ignore it until Day 18 when you need to remove the turning plate and up the humidity.

Well I don't think I would need the "stupid-proof" model but the "fool-proof" model sounds perfect
Last question though.... it says that the advance does not have a humidity display, does it have enough room to put a hydrometer in it ? or how do you measure it ?
1. You COULD go without ine; many people do. Just keep some water in one side of the reservoir for days 1 through 18, then put water in both sides during lockdown. It seems to do pretty well without being monitored.
2. Get a small hygrometer and put it inside. I bought mine at PetCo or PetSmart in the reptile dept.
