Whats the best live or frozen natural treats for your Contournix?

My man wants to buy the countournix some natural food. Will they eat mill worms, crickets, wigglers ect as treats or they primarily grain eaters? A baby ghecko got in their cage a few days ago and they messed him up!

Mine love to eat meal worms and you can also grow meal worms and they will reproduce.

You can get them at petco, a jar of them. Stick them in a bucket with oats, put a few carrot tops and apple cores to feed them and voila! you are breeding and feeding mealworms

Waite a minute, your birds are babies yet aren't they. Wait until they are older. They will think their own toes are worms, if you start giving them to early.

I just threw in a lettuce stub to my quail and they went crazy for it,they also like to eat leftover scrambled eggs and they love to eat millet.

I pick handfuls of grass and wild clover from my BACK yard. (No chemicals on my yard in the last year, at least.)

They love it.

I also give them handfuls of grass hay. They play in it and eat the parts they want.

The apple cores and carrots are for water, the 'bedding' is their food. My meal worms like to eat bread, every so often I put a damp slice of bread in their box and it doesn't last long. The bedding I use for mine is flock raiser

To clarify, this is for the meal worms, not the quail. Though they'd probably eat bread too
