Whats the best "sell" site now a days for chickens and eggs?

Its been a while since I sold any birds or eggs, back when I did I used eggbid.com but it seems to be gone now. What's the new site to sell birds and eggs on?

BYC has it's own buy & sell section. We're coming up on 130,000 registered members so I'd say you've got a pretty good potential market here.

right here is your best market. I've used e*ay and here for 2 auctions of the same kind of eggs, I got a much better price here and more bids. if you have quality birds, they will sell well. pictures are key.

I've sold eggs here on BYC.

I had a problem with ebay. my listing didn't show until a couple of hours until it closed and the photo never came up. I spent a lot of time on the phone with tech and they kept assuring me it would appear any minute. Naturally, they charged me for the listing. which didn't sell because there was no photo. I'm not eager to try that again.

I wasn't aware that eggbirdbid had disappeared. Obviously, I never go over there. It was used so lightly, I am not surprised to hear that they gave up.

Also, I sell a steady trickle of eggs with Craigslist. Small orders and every now and again, but the ad is free so I keep it renewed.

I was aware of ebay, and thought about it but they do charge a fee. I tried posting something on here but it wouldnt let me for some reason. It said I was only allowed one listing at a time. Which sounds kind of stupid to me. I had a wanted ad up for silver sebrights which is the only other listing I have up at the time. Having to choose between one or the other is annoying.

1 ad and you can only renew infrequently.. But you don't have to choose. You can mention 2 different items in your ad.

I can see why they do it. Otherwise, there would be a few people putting up 25 ads and renewing them daily. You wouldn't be able to find anything but their ads and would get so sick of seeing their ads, you'd stop using the classifieds.

The ad here is free, and the classifieds are looked at, so you have nothing to lose by using BYC as one of your places to sell eggs or birds.
