I have close to 100 head of chickens ... and I have a few that are laying .

Been told RIR's usually start laying 20 - 25 weeks old . Heard some start as late as 8 months . RIR's are close to 6 months now . MOST are NOT laying

I have 4 barred rocks that are close to 6 months old . NO EGGS YET ....

I have about 25 austrolorps same age . no eggs

I have cochrin bantams ... FULL FROWN , mating and all . NO eggs ...

I have 2 full grown EE's ... NO EGGS ...

WHATS the deal ?

I have 6 RIR's that LAY everyday ..... others just follow them in coop and seem to just watch them in the action . WHATS UP ?

Thanks ahead of time for any responses .

I agree with Katy..It could be getting colder out and the daylight hours are going away.

Do they free range? Are you sure they're not nesting elsewhere" That's weirf that so many wouldn't be cooperating. Look under the barn:)
