What's the chance of my grass growing back with two geese?

Approx 300 sq foot which was a lush green garden when I got them but now it's a brown swamp.
I re-seeded at the beginning of the week because we have had tons of rain over the last 7 days here in England - there's not really any other outside space for them so i'm hoping they won't chew it all up before it even establishes. 😩

Ah, I get what you're saying. I USED to have a yard. But that was many chickens, 10 runner ducks and two American Buff geese ago. I have fenced off the backyard, but the front is always a muddy mess. I have totally given up on trying to make it nice again.

And, when it all comes down to it, while I'd like to have grass, I love having my birds. I'm sure you feel the same about Norbert and Beep Beep -- although a lush, green yard would be nice and I'd spend a lot less time cleaning mud off the deck and my boots!

Yep, Would love them to have something natural to graze on because i'm sure they get fed up of pellets; It's less that I want a nice looking garden and more that I just want them to have something to munch on.

0 chance. It will take new plants about 6 months to establish a strong enough root system to withstand grazing. A full year is more realistic. Then once that happens, you must be disciplined and only allow 30 mins of grazing time a day. No grazing when it's wet and no grazing when the grass is stressed. In best conditions, one acre of grass can support upwards of 40 geese. That's roughly 1000 sq ft per bird.
To provide a more natural diet, add hay to the menu. I keep both grass and alfalfa hays in horse hay feeders in front of them year round. Don't just toss it on the ground or it becomes a slimy nasty mess. They can be quite picky and their preference changes constantly.

Just a thought not sure how Barley grows there. But last year we had a sever drought so I plated a patch of Barley and kept reseeding and watering. Cheep grain grows fast here kept 7 geese feed most of the summer they never rooted it and would eat some of the grain the rest would sprout into grass. Raise Barly Srouts in my house all winter for them so I just used a patch of dirt to do the same thing outside all summer. It spouts to 6 inch grass in 8 days so grows fast.
