What's the craziest thing you've done for your flock?

When it snowed and my babies feet were too cold to walk to the barn, I put down haybales in a long path so they could walk to the other dry area. I felt very silly, especially because I hadn't even cleared my own sidewalk of snow.

We've wanted to bring our little Bantam Cochin pullet, Pumpkin, to the pet store when we go to get bird seed and stuff

(since you are allowed to bring pets into some pet stores, like PetCo and PetSmart).

And I've thought about buying a harness for Pumpkin to go on walks and a basket to carry her in.

And what is really fun(but still kinda crazy) is that we have little birthday parties for our chickens. This year we made corn bread cupcakes and all the chickens had an eating contest. We also had some treasure hunts, beauty contests, etc.

I also sometimes cook eggs for all the chickens because they LOVE cooked egg and I buy them a tub of plain yogurt for Christmas.
