What's the deal with my broody hen?

I have a broody hen. She will sit on the nest all day with eggs underneath her (sometimes up to two days).....and then will switch to another nest box with nothing underneath her. I don't know whether to leave the eggs and see if she will return, or just gather them (as I have been doing.....since she leaves the whole batch for another nest box). This has been going on for months......sit on a batch of 10-12 eggs for a day or two....then leave the nest. And....the eggs are not all hers. What should I do......and do you think she would ever actually complete a hatch? Thanks!

Going on for months?

Is she actually sitting on them all day long for a day or two, or just sitting in the box for a good while, then going about her business?

Is she still laying eggs of her own?

She’s sitting on them all day….sometimes two..,,,then will just leave and find another nest. I don’t know if she’s laying or not….I assume she is, but don’t really know.
