Ok, so I really like both of these birds, (I don't have any, just admire them!

) but I don't really see a difference. Am I missing something really obvious? 'Cause they both have those pretty wing feathers where they stick down and stuff. Is one a pure bantam and the other isn't? Well, if you could just satisfy my curiosity that would be great. And I would love to see some pics of both breeds as well! Thanks!

They are both bantams, but there are many differences. Sebrights are recognized, seramas are not. All sebrights are rosecombed, seramas have single combs. Sebrights are laced, seramas don't have a color standard. Sebright males are hen feathered. The type on the 2 breeds is very different. There are many more differences in the two. Check feathersite for more info and pics.

Like Lilpeeps said, both bantys, but Roos hen feathered in sebright, Serama are much smaller, different combs, seramas not recognized, sebrights are, serama have a more vertical standing position, more chesty, and they are in no specific color like sebrights, not to mention serama are much harder to find......

To me they don' look at all alike, and their typical stance is very different.

But there are a few sebright photos on feathersite where the sebrights are in a stance more like a serama--one with the neary vertical wings. Fortunately most are in a more typical pose--but I can see how it would confuse someone.
