I'm hoping my chickens are over-achievers and lay before these 27-weekers on the board!

So, what's the earliest you've gotten an egg?

We got our 1st egg from a 19 and a half week old banty Mottled Cochin. The Silkies followed at 21 and a half weeks, then the 1st EE egg a few days later. The gang turned 30 weeks old yesterday.

16.5 weeks old from a red star, she laid like crazy for 4 months or so and got acities and I think is now an internal layer. She has her ups and downs but I keep her alive because she is still willing to eat and comes waddling or running over with her will to live. When she loses her will to live is when I put her down.

17.5 weeks from White Rocks.

Edited to add:
They started laying in August, so there was an adequate amount of daylight.

18 Wks - Easter egger hen. (the rest started around 20-24 weeks)
20 Wks - Buff Orp hen (typical is more like 24-26 weeks tho)
Silkies take forever..gave up counting months. I think one was around 8 months and others around a year.
