Mutts.. To be a breed you'd first have to breed them a certain way for awhile where they come true, and give them a name.. Short story and all details probably aren't there. BUT a F1 cross, and doing it with a black sexlink/rhode island red you can expect just a cross.. Probably would come looking like a black sexlink with a lot of red, if not red..

You could always call it an EE

Needs Ameracauna/Aracauna lineage (word i haven't used in awhile.. That does mean heritage correct?) for that

. Though just the typical crosses are called EE's often.

Most black sex links are the result of Barred Rock hens mated to RIR roosters. The resulting offspring have males chicks with white spots on head and females chick without. If you cross the two together (Black sex-links) you will get any # of combibations and colors resulting from the original RIR x Barred Rock mating. So the answer is Black Sex-links will not breed true...

Not necessarily, you just have to say you MIGHT get colored eggs. So.....

Nope..black sex link roosters are barred(sex link dominant barring)..(not as barred as barred rock, but you will see barring) but since he is het and not Hom for Barring some chicks will be barred and some not..

I was thinking that it was a black sex-link hen and a rir rooster.. Sorry about that...
