Our new coop is called Castello di Pollo Coop (The Castle's Chicken Coop in Italian)

"FRYER'S CLUB", I was running around to find chicks and some guy was one step ahead of me buying up all he could find at a bargin as places were wrapping up on their chick sales. I finally ran into him at TS and he let me buy 6 before he took the remaining chicks(20-30). He was holding a Chicken BBQ Fund Raiser this autumn!

Ours was just christened today! The paint is drying on the sign right now!

Ours is not complete...but we put out a vote to family members and--Bawk Bawk Bungalow won the vote...so that will be the name of our coop.

My husband was putting the insulation up in ours and he called it " Poultry Palace", and it stuck. He was worried about the girls getting cold in the winter. He is so sweet.

He put tile on the floor for easy clean up and a large window in the back.

Well, the first coop that was originally a dog house (and before that a pig house) is Dogwood, and the newer one is Stardust, after the cottage my family and I used to stay in on Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. All the cottages had names, so I thought my coops, should, too.

Hons Huset, means hen house in swedish...
We stayed on an island in Sweden that had converted sheds and such into small sleeping rooms (hostel) our "cottage" was the hen house!

We are calling ours the "The Chick Inn"....yeah, cheeky name...I'm in the process of making a sign, complete with a "vacancy" or "no vacancy" sign attached to it.
