What's the name of your chicken coop? "Chicken" Hilton here

I am torn on a name.

We live not too far from the original Chicken Ranch, so I have referred to the backyard as The Chicken Ranch for a couple of years. That would be a fine name to use for the new coop I think. But I would not be able to resist hanging "Good lays, all day" sign like I have seen elsewhere on this forum.

But my out of state buddies all call me any when there is a reported Chupacabra sighting in Texas, so I am thinking we might have to name the new coop (are you ready for this?) The Coop-acabra.

Once at breakfast out, our oldest decided to order "Huevos Rancheros" and went for it in what he believed to be an authentic Spanish accent and TOTALLY overdid it. A lot. Naturally, loving and caring parents that we are, we haven't let him live this down. Soooo, when, much to his utter dismay and embarrassment, we got chickens, we knew we had to name the coop in his honor: Ranchero de Huevos (and I apologize if I've mangled the Spanish!). We even had a sign made.

What 16-year old boy wouldn't love to be honored in such a way?!?

Had some ideas, but, in the end, it's gonna be named by the help (DH)
Ours will be called, "The Gem",
named after that...
building...
and...
business...
in the 1870's town of Deadwood, SD.

We got our paint for the coop at our local recycling center for free... and well.. at the time they had BRIGHT orange and light orange. So our coop looks like a giant pumpkin. We named it "The Magic Pumpkin" because eggs "magically" appear.

Ours is La Maison du Cluck (The House of Cluck). All our ladies have French names. Fifi, Cosette, Gigi, Cici, Geneveve, Miette, Rosey, Charlotte, Chouette, and our little roo, Gaston! We are going to put siding on it and paint it a nice french country blue with white trim. I want to put a black fleur de lis with the sillouette of a hen sitting on it with La Maison du Cluck in script underneath. I can't wait!!
