What's the name of your chicken coop? "Chicken" Hilton here

ok,
we have alot of predators around here and took that into consideration when we built ours. also, our chicky poos were raised by our children to be egg laying-pets, so we couldn't let anything get in to harm them. hubby worked very hard on coop and proudly calls it "STALAG 17"

OMG, ROFL... someone else was out to build Alcatraz for their chickens besides us... ours is fondly known as ChickenTraz. My sister insists if it gets any larger we will need a tram to get from one end to the other.

I named my almost built coop....

This will be the sign that hangs on the gateway to the back garden. Then the same lettering only smaller will go above the clean out door on the side of the coop.

I am soooooooo excited!! I can hardly wait to have my babies!!!

I put a sign on my first coop that reads Cluckingham Palace but we instead call the different pens by the names of their inhabitants. There's The Guinea Pen, Hawkeye's Pen, Junior's Pen, The Chick Pen, and The Ducks' Pen. Hawkeye & Junior are 2 of my roosters who each lead a flock of hens. Junior's Pen used to be called Trix's Pen, then for a while it was Trix's-Pen-Which-Is-Now-Junior's-Pen, followed by Junior's-Pen-Which-Used-To-Be-Trix's-Pen. If Junior gets in a fight with another rooster to gain dominance of their pen, I'm going to root for Junior, primarily because I don't want to have to restart the long process to re-name it.
