Mine was two Buff Minorcas that went broody within a week of each other. I had ordered them from the McMurray hatchery, and I'd sent them an email asking about that behavior. Alls they said was that maybe I had gotten the wrong breed. Idk. They were smaller then my Buff Orpingtons, relativly large single combs, laid really large white eggs, and were the loudest and most irritating chickens in the coop. They made really aggressive moms; would literally launch themselves at me when ever i started poking around! I don't have any pictures of them now, and I sold them both to a woman who wanted to make her own flock. I don't know of any other breeds that look like they did.

I have a broody black sex-link at the moment- her eggs are due to hatch next weekend. She's my first broody, so I have no previous experience and am looking forward to seeing her with some babies. I had a cuckoo Marans sit on a clutch for 3 days, then she changed her mind. Both of these birds came from MMH, so I was caught by surprise, but pleasantly so. Broody BSL mama isn't vicious at all- yet- she just puffs up and clucks and growls at us a bit, but if I need to look underneath her she'll let me without too much fuss. I expect that to change if any hatch, which will be much to the chagrin of my two daughters, who cannot wait to hold baby chicks!

Mine would have to be my bantam frizzle, she hatched 2 chicks 2 weeks ago and she will take on anything that gets too close even my goose so now i have to separate them so he won't hurt her. She knows no fear when it comes to her charges. and she is so tiny. lol
