I live in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, which means its generally VERY HOT and dry in the summer and nice to cool in the winter. It rarely rains. I want to do the deep litter method that you change completely only once a year. What's the smallest coop size that that will work with? Some of the smaller coops' roosts are low to the ground.

Thanks.

There is no particular figure, it depends on circumstances. I would suggest trying it and see what happens, and just adapt your methods accordingly.

Good luck, have fun,

Pat

I've got plastic kids playhouses say 4x4. 2months so far and I haven't cleaned them out. Tossed in DE and a handful of scratch on top more shavings. Looks good as new.
