What's the standard breeding rate with a 3:1 ratio?

Sorry in advance for always asking questions in here!

It has been confirmed once and for all that my 3 muscovies are all female (Winsor, newton and sumo). Winsor is on her second nest, aged approximately 10 months old. Newton has just had her nest emptied by me after diligently sitting on the dud eggs for 4 weeks now. I probably should have removed the eggs earlier, but she's so fussy and committed, I felt bad for her and let her be. But then I also worried that she has been nest bound for so long for no actual purpose, so it's been a conundrum all round.

So my question is, would I be looking at breeding just once or twice a year if we introduced a drake? Winsor has proven herself a prolific layer, with 2 actual nests and numerous singles left around the place. I'm not sure how sumo will go as she is not even 6 months old yet. Can some muscovies breed all year round? This breeding will be a project for the kids, but I don't want it to get out of control with more ducklings than we can manage and sell on if the 3:1 ratio will produce tooo many ducklings lol

Ducks will breed all year round. It’s just more prolific in the spring and summer. Other members have stated they have had to break up Muscovy nests to keep from having ducklings out their ears. On the plus side muscovys are great Moms.

You can say that again!

I have 4 female scovys to 1 drake and it's a circus around here starting in spring [thankfully mine have down time from late fall till usually March] My break.lol
But if your diligent in picking up eggs everyday they cannot hatch. They may still go broody but it's getting those eggs which keeps you from having ducklings take over the world. I have been doing this since 2005 Mine only get to hatch periodically.
