What's the weirdest thing your chickens like to eat?

Mine like tiny frogs and mice. Mind you I dont feed those to them they just find them and eat them. YUK

easy cheese from the can. one will fly to me when he hears the plastic baggies they put deli cheese in. (he's my house roo and heard it while he was a chick and got addicted.)

they love meal worms and can hear me coming with them while i'm still at the feed store.

and lately I've discovered that they love warm grits!

With it getting cooler it must be a good feeling for them to have something warm in their tummies.

Slugs. My strawberry patch gets them bad. Chickens keep them in line.

Watermelon, Cantaloupe, PAIRS my pair tree is done now, but the horses and the chickens had a feast this year.

Mine love leftovers! I set the pan outside so the dogs don't make a mess in the kitchen but the birds chase them out and eat up whatever is in the pan. Any...thing..even *gasp* chicken gravy.

I threw a bag of stale hint of jalapeno tostitos into the compost pile and one of my Ameraucana pullets went nuts for them. None of the others seemed to want them but this one would not leave them alone to the point that I had to close off the pile to them. I was afraid she would have problems eating excessive amounts of salt lol.

I grew tons of hot and bell peppers. After cutting up a huge batch to pickle I threw all the seeds into the compost pile. The chickens found almost every seed out there but left the pepper scraps alone. My chickies must like it hot!
