has layed an egg?

I got a Christmas present from both my baby Silkie girls (I suspected they were), who I though were still too young to lay. They hatched Oct 8.

Is it even possible for them to lay this young??? I just found two eggs in the kennel (in the house) and the only other baby in it is the lavender silkie that hatched on Halloween and I'm pretty sure that one is a cockeral.

All the adults are housed in the garage for the winter.
I'm not complaining mind you, just wasn't expecting to see that yet.

Maybe it's a Christmas miracle?!!

Wow!!! Mine just started laying at 18 weeks and I was impressed.....That one takes the cake!

The earliest for me was an ISA Brown at 16 weeks.

25 weeks with me...

They turned 6 months old 2 days ago.

I thought I saw a thread where one pullet laid a couple eggs at 8 weeks, then quit until a normal laying time.
