What's the youngest you've seen a rooster start crowing?

This morning when I opened our medium coop to let out the 10-week-olds, one of the roosters (a mutt, hatched from our big flock) came out and let rip with three little crows in a row. We've raised close to 50 roosters to date, and I've never heard one start crowing before about 16 weeks.

Anyone else ever had one start this young? I'm kinda proud of the little booger.

Good grief. I have a white EE roo about 7 months old and I've never heard him crow! I know he's a roo though. Do some roo's never crow?
