Its round in shape. Black "T" between the "shoulder" area with a black circle on back with 2 pale yellow/white dots in the black

Thats what the body shape matches but colors are way off. Ive seen soldier bugs before but none that looked like this. Thats what maks insect ID so tricky is all the developmental changes they go through.

Thats it! cool thanks!That was throwing me a bit too but the description of the young ones lists some variations in coloration that kind of fit.
Oh yeah! Soldier bugs are welcome anytime in my garden! Now that I know the juveniles look totally different than the adults, I can be more careful with them.Looks like is friend not foe too which is AWESOME!
