I think I would go with brown red cochin-well if you want to keep her in the house I would-and if your making her a pet that is fine-I am sure the other bird you had didnt know why he was in the house so I wouldnt feel guilty, once they are tame they like people company

I have a very similar mix of cochin/black sex link/descendent of my Silkie Roo...Yours is a little rounder than my little girl though...

Stranger things have happened than making a chicken a house pet...My mother in law (indoor bird fan/Capitol City Bird Club in Sacramento) has friends who use diapers on theirs, and thats some kind of devotion, making an indoor pet out of a chicken! My pot belly pig lives outside - I must hang my head in shame in the piggy world for not letting him live the proper pet piggy lifestyle

. But I sure do love him! He cant navigate stairs, and thinks he's a goat anyhow. Each to his own, we all love our pets our own ways!
