Whats this on her wing

This morning I noticed a big bump on my quails wing my husband said it's probably an ingrown feather or something so we pulled the bump off and there was a bunch of pus and now there's a big bloody hole have y'all seen anything like this before?

It sounds like it was an abscess. The thing to do now is to keep it clean and let it heal.
