whats this??

one of my year old hens
layed a tinny,tinny egg.
as big as my thumb nail.
her other eggs have been normal size.
she is a banty cochin.but not too small..
her roomate is 2 ft. tall quite large,
whats up is she getting tired. she is fed
Purina layer feed. and seems
otherwise very well.

Sounds like a fart egg. A glitch in the laying dept.

i have found 2 eggs like this in my pen with regular sized chickens in it. they have hard shells, i even tried to incubate one to see what would happen but turns out it didnt even have a yolk! i have found 1 more since then! dont know why they do it though, hopefully someone can help, im curious too!
