just picked up this gorgeous lavender pekin, any ideas on sex?

How old is it? So far, nothing screams male, but they're not a particularly fast maturing breed, so males may not be apparent for another month or so.

Bit to young to tell and pekins as donrae said before don't grow that fast!

As donrae said, maybe in another month or more. If its a roo, the wattles and comb will begin to get pink and start to grow bigger. as he/she grows older and starts to get their adult feathers, thin, slick feathers will come in on their hackles and saddle if it's a rooster. Hens will lack these and will usually maintain pale, almost nonexistant comb and wattles until maturity.
