whats up with her beak? (it is a her right?)

If you have had her for 2 or 3 weeks and she is still alive, she isn't starving.

I am sure she will be just fine and you are an absolute wonderful chicken mom. You obviously love your chickens very much and that always makes me smile. I am sure the two of you will have a long happy relationship. As for the eggs, I have no idea. I have never had a Polish (though I dearly want one some day) but I don't think they are very good layers (I know I could be wrong)? How old is she supposed to be?

the man said that she was 2 years old.

Her top beak is shorter than her bottom beak if that makes any difference in her eating, I went out there and took her a snack. She didnt want it so I guess shes not starving lol.

I really dont care whether any of my chickens lay as long as there is nothing wrong with them, I am ashamed to say I have had chickens off and on for about 8 years now, but never knew how to take care fo them. So many things I did not know befor coming here. I always thought I took good care of them, but was doing several things wrong. I always fed scratch to them for one, and never pellets because I thought the pellets were bad for them. I am learning.

Mine has a shorter top beak too. That's the usual way. Polish are not known to be great layers, but they will lay. My debeaked orp took alot longer to lay. I also heard if you change their home, it can take a while for them to start laying again. If you want to know if she's eating, just feel her crop and make sure it has food in it. It should bulge.
