whats up with my hen?!

I think my hen is *trying* to lay her first egg.......? I heard her start clucking in a new tone about 2 days ago. since then, she has spent a lot of time in a nesting box, but no eggs. she sits in the box for awhile every morning, but no eggs. ??????

I bet in the next few days she'll lay for you. My chickens did a few days of practicing in the nesting boxes before actually laying.

It's so hard to wait for that first egg though!!

she FINALLY laid an egg! YAY! she laid another one this morning, so hopefully the other hen will get the message and start laying too.
