I haven't had a bugged eyed chick hatch in a long time. After a week or so I couldn't tell which one it was but it sure is noticeable right after hatch. And no, none of mine were ever blind.

Ditto but I would have to keep it around to see how it would do. I have never seen it in chicks before. Mammals, yes but poultry........interesting.

It never hurts to try, right? LOL I just hated giving up on that little guy, he was so cute.

Last night I had insomnia and was lost in BYC land....I read a post form a girl that had a chick with the same prbolem only it was one eye. She had taken her sot the vet and it had been scratched and water was on the eye or something. She said she used eye drops and it got better.

I can't remember the name or the thread. Sorry. Try some terramycin eye ointment if you have any.

BTW I think she is cute.

I had one chick that had only one eye that looked like that...it did grow into it in a few months and after a while I could not tell which was which lol I hope yours does the same. LOVE LOVE LOVE The poster! I laughed so hard! They need to start a site for funny chicken pics like they have for cats

My neighbor said she would take the blind chick. I am dipping it's beak in the water. Do blind chicks find the water by trial and error?
