So I have gotten 2 eggs that look like this from my Swedish Flower hen. I would like to know why they look like that and if I should be concerned. One is a regular egg for comparison. Both odd eggs were found outside the nest box. Most recent on the coop floor and one on my porch... I also think that may be a spot of blood?? Thank you for any and all replies. I am suspecting I may need more nest boxes.. I have 2 boxes and 7 hens.

I am concerned about the layer of stuff over what her eggs normally are.. It just seems strange to me.. All chalky and weird. It doesn't rub easily but it is scratched easily...

The "chalky stuff" is a sprinkling of excess calcium.

The marks in it are possibly from sitting on the floor, or being scratched after it was laid. Some of my darkest-laying hens have made similar markings on the shells[EDT: though certainly not so many]. I think it's because the dark brown is a layer on top of the egg, and can be easily scratched when thick, and not given enough time to dry.
