I've always been drawn to chickens that are a little unusual, even a little funky, like that poor little double dose frizzle cockerel in the last pic, loved that little guy.

@howfunkyisurchicken , I seen you posted earlier today on another thread I was on & I thought "How cool of a name is that?!?!" Awesome. And your chickens are funky! I want a frizzle. I had no idea there are double frizzles!

I follow a ton of threads

I love my funky chickens, especially my frizzles! Double frizzles aren't a good thing. Their feathers are usually brittle and they tend to develop bald patches. They're what happens when you breed a frizzle to a frizzle, and they're why you shouldn't do it. They do produce all frizzled offspring when paired with a smooth though! I got both of mine from people who wanted to rehome them, because they thought they were ugly or their other chickens were picking on them
