Whats wrong here?

I agree with all the previous responses. As a kid, I managed to convince my parents (and now my boyfriend) that I needed all sorts of pets: dogs, rabbits, cats, birds, a couple of snakes, pet rats, guinea pigs, and I'm sure I'm missing something. lol

I convinced my parents to allow me to get these pets in several ways. First and most importantly I educated myself about those animals. Before we had internet I read books and asked local "experts". Second, I agreed to pay for them myself or when I was too young to get a real job I did extra housework. Do find out why your mother doesn't want more chickens, then you can address her concerns directly.

One of the best ways I found to get the pets I wanted was to never act childish about it: don't whine or beg or throw a tantrum. Talk to your mom about the benefits of more chickens, then direct her to sources where she can get the information first hand. Before you do all this though, make sure your current chickens are very well cared for. Make sure there is no odor that could deter her and maybe you don't need so many roosters? Maybe their crowing annoys her? Perhaps you could set up a small business selling eggs and chicks to cover your chicken expenses.

How about delayed gratification? Will she consider a few more birds AFTER you move? If so, then you have something to look forward to! In the meantime do all of the above to prove you are a responsible chicken owner... then your chances will be even better. Patience is a virtue!

she says she don't want any more if we move. i may be her son that isn't even out of high school, but i have spent well over $700 on those chickens and all their stuff, and there is no way i am getting rid of the coop and other chicken supplys i have if we move. $700 is quite a bit for me since i'm still ver young and without a job. i've spent $56 on the chickens themseleves when i first got them!

as much as i love him, i may just have to get rid of Nate, my cross rooster. hes got scaly leg and i just can't treat him, patrolium jelly doesn't seem to be working

but who would want a rooster with scaly leg?

i found a way to get another chick or 2

i have 2 eggs in the bator right now, my dad says i can keep any pullets i hatch. buttttttt if i only hatch one chick and its a pullet, i'd have to buy 1 more because it wouldn't socialize right! my mom says we'll talk about it it happens, which means a most likely yes! aaaannnnnndddddd you usually just can't buy one chick at feed store! my local TSC has a minnium of 6, and my local purinea i don't know but i think its lower, probably 2!

Not disagreeing but the absence of mosquitoes is do to no rain this year.

I thought of that but I have 2 ponds in my yard, one of which (the new one - hasn't been biologically balanced yet) has been full of mosquito larvae since March.
